TV and radio gardening expert Matthew Wilson will open the new plant department at Tong Garden Centre in Yorkshire. The event will take place on 20th?April.
As well as opening the new section, Wilson, who is the former curator of RHS Harlow Carr in Harrogate, will also will talk to about the inspiration behind the Welcome to Yorkshire garden that he has created for this year’s Chelsea Flower Show.
Tong Garden Centre’s marketing manager, Jo Dales said: “We are a garden centre first and foremost, and are very proud of the new plant area with its extensive range of Yorkshire grown bedding, great quality plants and a friendly team of gardening experts.
?Tong Garden Centre is proud to support and be involved with a garden at Chelsea that is inspired by the East Window at York Minster, and is called God’s Own County – A Garden For Yorkshire.?
The opening ceremony there will include a free prize draw for two tickets to the Chelsea Flower Show.
