BBC?s Gardener?s World presenter Adam Frost will be hosting a series of workshops at Bents Garden and Home in Glazebury on Sunday, April 2.

The garden centre has booked the TV star in to provide tips to green-fingered shoppers.

The award-winning garden designer will deliver a two-hour session focusing on small garden design from 10.30am followed by an hour-long hanging basket demonstration starting at 1.15pm in which shoppers will be invited to roll up their sleeves and take part in a friendly competition.

There will also be an opportunity to ask questions and pick the celebrity gardener?s brains between 3.30pm and 4.30pm.

And Bents is offering four pairs of tickets to have afternoon tea with Adam at the centre’s Fresh Approach Restaurant between 2.30pm and 3.30pm in a Facebook competition.

Other activities organised as part of the centre?s Get Gardening Weekend include painting, planting and a spring-themed treasure hunt fun for children.

Garden care tips will be available from the experts at Westland and Bents? horticultural team will be on hand to share their knowledge of plants and suggest unique garden design solutions to transform outdoor living spaces.

The garden centre is also offering visitors the chance to take advantage of early season offers and enter a prize draw to win two tickets to Chelsea Flower Show on May 26, worth ?126.
