Gardening products outlet Ahrens + Sieberz has seen a 36 per cent increase in sales from its online shop following the implementation of a new search function developed by e-commerce company FACT-Finder.
The new function offers, according to the company, ?intelligent filter options along with error tolerance so that customers can find the right product, no matter how they spell it?.
Gardeners are also able to filter searches by criteria including position, growth height and planting distance.
Breaking the figures down, mobile purchases increased by 125 per cent from January to September of last year, compared to the same period in 2013.
Ahrens + Sieberz head of ecommerce Patrick Kaiser said: ?As everything to do with browsing is displayed by FACT-Finder, we are ultimately able to completely attribute the success to the use of this solution.?
He continued: ?The search function we previously used had absolutely no error tolerance, which frequently caused frustration. These are vital aids for customers, without which it can be difficult and tedious to find the right plants.?
