The Angmering In Bloom Garden Competition Awards have been held and the winner for the Best Front Gardens, Best Allotments and Best Public House Gardens have been awarded their prizes following the judging which took place on 30 June.? Julia Phelon, Chairman of Angmering In Bloom Association and Haskins Assistant Manager Karen Jenkins presented the Awards hosted by the Haskins Roundstone Garden Centre, which laid on a cream tea for the event and gave Haskins Gift Cards to the winners.
The results of the Competition were ? Best Front Garden: First Prize, Barry Carslake, Parsons Close; second, Jan Mockford, Lansdowne Road; third, Cyril Potter, Arundel Road.
All Allotments were submitted to be judged and the overall winner was Robert Tutt, Plot 97; second, Peter and Janet Fordom, Plot 23; third, Ken Moon, Plot 85.
Best Public House Garden Winner ? Michael and Naomi Collis of The Spotted Cow, and the runner up, Brian and Karen Liston of The Woodman Arms.
The childrens?s competition to design a logo for Angmering In Bloom was won by Lauren Smith from is from the 1st Angmering Guides who received a ?15 gift card.? Lauren was the overall winner after competing against members from the Rainbows, Brownies and St Wilfrid?s Primary School.
