Families got the opportunity to pet ponies, parrots and tortoises as part of an animal day at Whitehall Garden Centre in Lacock.
At the event were eight-week-old Mediterranean tortoise hatchings, guide dogs and a variety of birds from a cockatoos to macaws.
John Tolliday, a director of Birdline UK who brought the birds, said: ?Everyone was absolutely blown away by them, people thought they were amazing. We are always a big attraction because of the birds. It gives people an opportunity to hold a bird that they wouldn?t normally be able to.
?Hopefully we will have new members and it is something we would like to do again.?
Wiltshire Tortoise Group chairman Lisa Hyde was also giving out information. She said: ?It was really really busy and everyone seemed to have a fantastic time, it was a great educational day.?
Organisations were also there in the hopes of raising awareness of what they do and recruiting new members.
Gemma Smith of Whitehall Garden Centre said: ?It was a great event, with a fantastic turn out. Thank you to everyone that came and we?re glad we could help support animal and wildlife charities. We hope to do a similar event soon.?
