Barrus has agreed a deal to sell and distribute RocketGro’s range of peat-free sustainable compost and plant feeds.

Under the terms of the partnership, RocketGro will continue to develop, produce and market the products, with Barrus adding its portfolio of well-known and respected brands to the range.

RocketGro managing director Toby Thomas said, ‘’We are delighted to be working with Barrus in promoting and selling our fantastic range of RocketGro organic peat-free composts and growing media. The Barrus team has been extremely professional and enjoyable to work with throughout our negotiations and we can clearly see that Barrus is a well-run and respected business with some great brands in its portfolio. Adding RocketGro to the Barrus offering is a good fit for us and will ensure RocketGro achieves a much greater nationwide reach.

“For our existing clients, and for future clients, we will now be able to provide much greater ongoing face-to-face support which, until now, has been hard to achieve with a smaller team. This is a win/win for RocketGro, our customers, and for the garden centre industry. Bringing quality peat-free compost to the market at scale is the RocketGro mission and, with the power of the Barrus team behind us, this is a big step forward for us on our exciting journey.”

The addition of RocketGro products adds to the range of gardening and household brands available from Barrus, including Wolf-Garten, Wilkinson Sword, Town & Country, Energizer and Velcro.

It has been a busy month for RocketGro, as news of the distribution deal with Barrus comes hot on the heels of a recent partnership with River Cottage.
