Can you give us a brief outline of the brand?

Bathgate is part of Bathgate Silica Sand, an independently-owned company that was formed more than 100 years ago. We offer a vast range of high-quality horticultural products designed to boost performance.

Retailers can choose from a wide variety of compost, top soil, lawn and sports turf top dressing, grit sand, block paving sands, and decorative stone. We also offer an award-winning premium compost blend with a unique formulation that optimises growth and resistance to disease.

What makes the company different to your competitors?

We put quality first, using the finest ingredients and latest technology to manufacture our horticultural products. Each one is precision blended and regularly tested in our onsite laboratory to ensure consistently high standards.

We are often told by garden centre managers that their customers specifically ask for Bathgate products as they’ve been so impressed by them– you can’t get a better endorsement than that.

What support are you offering garden centres?

We work closely with garden centres to help them meet their customers’ needs, providing a wide choice of products that can meet specific applications and performance requirements. We offer samples, technical advice and informative point of sale material, which can be supplied pre-priced and includes downloadable high-resolution images as well as multi-buy options.

We also provide a nationwide delivery service for quantities ranging from a single pallet through to a full load.

Recent additions to our range include a peat-free version of the Bathgate 50L multi-purpose compost and also a 50L peat-reduced multi-purpose compost.
