Celebrations have been held to congratulate Wirral?s largest garden centre, Gordale, on their latest achievement, becoming the best outdoor living retailer in the UK.

At the end of January, the Garden Centre Association held their annual conference, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Stratford-upon-Avon, where the winners of their prestigious awards were revealed. The award was presented to Gordale Garden and Home Centre in recognition of their extensive and comprehensive garden furniture selection, range and display of barbecues, knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff, customer care,?building and servicing section and excellent delivery service.? Scoring a massive 92%, the department of 14 lead by Gaynor, who has worked at Gordale for over 20 years, topped the table in the UK in the annual inspections.

The Garden Centre Association represents Britain?s best garden centres and members are subjected to an?annual unannounced inspection to ensure they meet the required standards. For the last eleven years Gordale has been highly commended in almost every department. The outdoor lifestyle department was congratulated last year as the best in the North West, however it has since been revealed as the best in the UK.

Hard-work, creativity and enthusiasm has paid off for the team at Gordale, they have been rewarded with one of the best awards the Garden Centre can achieve. As a thank you managing director?Peter Nicholson?presented the outdoor lifestyle department with a chocolate cake made by Kathy, one of the garden centres team of bakers, luxury chocolates, personalised cards and of course many congratulations.

This year Gordale strives to continue their success and deliver a great customer experience with inspiring displays, quality products and a great team of knowledgeable staff.
