Bord Na Mona

Bord na Mona has announced that the UK retail arm of the business will change its name to The Greener Gardening Company. This is effective 1st February 2020.

The name change effects all that trade with Bord na Mona Horticulture, the UK subsidiary and White Moss Horticulture.
The company continues to be a wholly owned subsidiary of Bord na Mona Ireland.
2020 is set to be a big year for the business. The company recently announced a new peat-free range of products, Happy Compost. It received astounding interest from existing trade customers and prospects alike at Glee. It also received a ‘best in test’ performance against all major competitors in trials.
In 2019 the company also added three new Which? ‘best buys’ in the latest compost trials. These test and review over 25 products with each formulation assessed based on quality and assurance.
Steve Harper, Head of Commercial & Marketing for The Greener Gardening Company, says:
“Our name change to The Greener Gardening Company allows us to offer a clear, easy-to-spot brand.
“Whilst there will be a different logo on the shelves, customers can still expect the same quality and same service they have come to expect.”
The name change does not affect the current horticulture business in Ireland. It also doesn’t affect UK based trade customers that trade with the original horticulture company over in Ireland.
