Brundle?s London-themed fireball wows Solex judges

A fireball that depicts famous London landmarks has been crowned Best New Product Award at this week?s Solex show.

Brundle Gardener?s statement showpiece wowed the judges as the leading wholesaler started its trade show season with a bang.

Paul Smith, business manager at Brundle, said: ?We were pleasantly surprised but very pleased with the award ? it underlines our confidence in the showpiece London Skyline Fireball.

?Our fireball range has proven popular over the last few years and we decided to invest in new themes, shapes and sizes following the success of the dragon and forest themes.?

With the fireball showing off the famous London skyline, the judges – Carol Paris, chief executive of the Horticultural Trades Association and former Leisure and Outdoor Furniture Association (LOFA) chairman Eric Hopper ? were clearly impressed.

It was the second year Brundle had exhibited at Solex and Paul said it was another ?good experience?.

He explained: ?We were attracting a number of new independent and multi-site garden centres. We have built on a very successful 2015 but we are always striving for more.

?Our dedicated team of full time staff and agents will be busy in the coming weeks and months discussing 2016 and 2017.?

Other new products sampling the Solex experience for the first time included a range of aluminium, steel and wooden outdoor furniture sets alongside Brundle?s illuminated bistro table.

While popular ranges returning were furniture sets aimed at the younger gardener and the colourful and eye-catching garden and tool sheds which, along with the foldable half table and chairs, are ideal for those with a smaller outdoor space.
