Cherry Lane acquires Norwich garden centre

A garden centre on the outskirts of Norwich is under new ownership and it will be revamped over the coming months.

The Cherry Lane group has acquired Salhouse Garden Centre in Honeycombe Road, which is its 18th site. It has garden centres throughout East Anglia, Yorkshire and the Midlands.

Cherry Lane is part of the QD Group, an independent, family-owned chain of value retail outlets. Its portfolio also includes 30 QD Stores and Lathams of Potter Heigham.

Nick Rubins, chief executive of the QD Group, said: “I am delighted to announce the acquisition of a new garden centre in our heartland Norwich.

“We have some improvements and developments planned, for both the garden centre and the café, over the coming months and the centre will remain open while we do this work.

“We continue to be very excited about the opportunity to grow the business over the next few years.”

Salhouse Garden Centre by Cherry Lane is open daily and they are recruiting additional staff.

The Salhouse Garden Centre transaction was negotiated in a confidential manner by Alexander Mackie Associates Ltd. If you own a garden centre and you are looking to sell, please call Darren Earnshaw at Alexander Mackie Associates on 01732 522222 or email: darren@alexandermackie.co.uk
