Claire Bishop, Senior Houseplant Buyer at Dobbies, is returning to the prestigious position as Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Chair of Assessors for this year’s Chelsea Flower Show.

Bishop will return to her lead role at RHS Chelsea from Monday 20 May, followed by supervising the moderation and assessors at RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival (2-7 July), and the Flower Show at Tatton Park (17-21 July). This includes evaluating, grading and guiding the judges, as well as ensuring consistency and fairness.

Commenting on her return as Chair of Assessors, Bishop said: “It’s always an honour being recognised by the Royal Horticultural Society, and I’m excited to be able to witness all of the innovation this year’s show season will bring. I’m really looking forward to seeing the design and creativity that comes out in full force at RHS Chelsea.”

Andy Hannan, Commercial Director at Dobbies, added: “Claire is an expert in her field and one of the country’s leading authorities on houseplants. Her re-appointment as the RHS Chair of Assessors is a testament to her passion for garden living and hard work. Huge congrats Claire!”

For RHS Chelsea Flower Show, Dobbies will also be hosting a social takeover with inspirational looks from the show and top tips on how to recreate the trends at home. Customers will also be supported with POS in store calling out plants inspired by the show.
