Colemans Garden Centre is set to double its headcount after opening a new £5m extension.

The second phase of the expansion has expanded the premises by 32,000 sq feet. It’s adding a farm shop and butchery and increasing the capacity of the on-site café.

The space has also allowed the addition of concessions for Menarys, The Works and Klass.

The expansion could create a further 50 jobs, taking the company to more than 100 staff.

Colemans MD Richard Fry said: “Phase two of our development has created a sense of anticipation for a few months. We have watched our plans take shape.

“We’ve added an extensive variety of retailers and brands to what we already have on offer. The addition of our new farm shop and butchery we’ll attract a wider audience from the local area and beyond.

“Now visitors can take advantage of our 250 seat cafe with a unique eating experience.”

“In our new farm shop and butchery where we will be ‘Celebrating Local Food’. We wish to form partnerships with local producers who are doing something unique. We’re sure that this will become an important part of the community in Templepatrick.”
