A Scots couple hatched a plan to make eggstra cash from their farm produce ? refrigerated eggs from a vending machine.
Craig and Claire Grant were looking for ways to sell their Aberdeenshire Choice farm-produced eggs.
They came up with the vending machine idea and managed to get one installed at The Happy Plant garden centre in Mintlaw, Aberdeenshire, just before Christmas.
And it has become a huge hit with customers.
Claire, 28, from Strichen, said: ?We looked around and discovered there weren?t any egg vending machines in Scotland.
?We thought it was something different and a chance for people to access more fresh food.
?So far, the reaction has been really good. People like the idea and find it quirky. They have been selling well.?
The machine has 28 doors for each of the ?3 packs of a dozen eggs and a temperature control to keep them fresh.
Craig, 32, used to work as an engineer in the oil and gas industry but gave it up to join the family farming business.
It proved to be a good career move as he was Young Farmer of the Year in 2012.
