“It has been very well received and we started with a small menu and we are increasing it.”

Mr Faulding said the cafe provides breakfasts and lunches.?Deepdale describes itself as “Barton’s independent plant specialist”.

More than ?100,000 has been spent on the centre and purchase of the land.

It originally opened under the former name of Deepdale Country Stores last year and employs five staff, including Mr Faulding.

There are around 15,000 plants on sale at the garden centre and they also sell barbecues, fire pits and animal feeds.
