Dobbies reaches out to local charities

UK retailer, Dobbies Garden Centres, is looking for local charities to support. Opportunities are now available at each of its 35 stores across the country to become a local charity partner for 2015 and charities are being encouraged to apply.

The chosen charity will be the recipient of various fundraising activities in-store. In the past these have included prize draw opportunities, donations at fashion cat walks, car washes and even cheese and wine nights.

In order to apply charities should be operating locally in the area, providing services or projects to the community.? The leading garden centre retailer is also encouraging community members to nominate charities for consideration.

Andy King, Managing Director of Dobbies said: ?Our community champions work on a great range of interesting projects throughout the year and it?s at this time we turn our attention to looking for a new local charity partner at each store. It’s fantastic that our colleagues and customers always embrace supporting worthy causes in their area and we?re really excited to start work with our 2015 partners.?

Dobbies is delighted to have raised over ?350,000 for charities across the UK for its local and national charity partnerships, during the last financial year.

All interested charities must operate within 20 miles of a Dobbies store and apply via email / or hand in the application form by 16thFebruary 2015. Please contact the Community Champion at your local Dobbies Garden Centre if you require further information.
