Customers and staff at Webbs Garden Centre in Wychbold are holding a Donate, Don?t Dump Day for Acorns Children?s Hospice.
Webbs is encouraging customers to come along to the award winning Wychbold store on Thursday, 15th May, between 10am and 5pm and bring at least one good quality item which is no longer wanted or needed.
The items can be dropped off at a collection area in Webbs? car park before they are taken to Acorns Hospice warehouse where everything will be sorted and delivered to the charity?s shops to be sold.
Similar events at Webbs for St Richard?s Hospice, Primrose Hospice and KEMP Hospice have proved very successful.
Mandie Fitzgerald, community fundraiser for Acorns Children’s Hospice, said: ?Webbs has shown us tremendous support over the years. They understand how it is possible to support a charity like Acorns in a number of different ways and we?re delighted that this is happening again with this year?s Donate Day.
?With a chain over nearly 60 shops, we need a regular and significant donation of stock every week to keep running and raise the ?8m plus annual cost to support local life limited children and their families. We rely on the commitment, enthusiasm and creativity of organisations like Webbs to ensure we can continue our work. I?d like to say a big thank you on behalf of everyone at Acorns.?
Executive Chairman Ed Webb said, ?The idea of the day is to improve the quality and quantity of donations to charity shops and this is a great way for our customers to help Acorns raise much needed funds for their caring work.?
