Perennials

Introduced to support the growing popularity of perennials, the award-winning Penstemon Pentastic? will be the main feature on the Earley Ornamentals? stand at the HTA National Plant Show 2017. This follows the announcement that Earley, a leading UK independent producer and supplier of young plants, will be one of the selected UK producers for this star product. Also on display will be the outstanding Earley Nemesia range.

Eye-catching flower power and colours

The already comprehensive Earley Penstemon range has been extended to include the new, eye-catching series Penstemon Pentastic?. This variety offers impressive flower power and colour impact.

Pentastic? is available in three vivid colours Pink, Rose and Red. With large, dense flowers and a frost hardy broad leaf, it grows to a height of 30cm and is suitable for patio pots and the herbaceous border.

Great option for extending summer sales and autumn flowering

Programmable and fast-growing, Pentastic? requires no extra pinching, spacing or PGRS. It is also a particularly good option for retailers looking to extend summer sales and for end-customers wanting plants that will flower into the autumn months, with the flowers re-blooming a few weeks later with pruning.

Bred in the UK by Fred Yates, Pentastic? is disease tolerant, has a naturally compact habit and is self-branching with short flower spikes.

Commenting on the new addition to Earley?s range, managing director, Simon Earley said: ?This introduction has been in the pipeline for some time and we were delighted to hear that Pentastic? is already an award winner, it?s certainly a new favourite here at Earley and we believe a great commercial option for our customers.

?As a UK independent, we?re always keen to nurture UK-bred choices and are looking forward to showing it at the 2017 HTA show ? please do come and take a look!

?We?ve definitely seen a growth in interest in perennials and have expanded our range accordingly, also introducing a dedicated Perennial catalogue this year, which is in addition to the main Earley Ornamentals 2017-18 catalogue.?

Also being showcased is the Earley Nemesia range, which has earned its place as one of Earley’s 2017 product heroes. It includes top-selling and new Nemesia such as the distinctive and scented new colours Nemesia Sunpeddle? Blue Rose and Yellow White, and there will be many more options on display.

Committed to producing quality young plants for the UK market, Earley Ornamentals is a leading, independent business that is proud to be the selected partner for many of the UK’s leading commercial and retail growers.

With an extensive product range of high quality stock designed to meet the needs of today’s professional growers, over 180m young plants, made up of 1,700 varieties, are grown each year at Earley?s state-of-the-art 12-acre site near Thirsk, North Yorkshire.
