Entry to the GIMA Awards is now open

After a successful return in 2021, GIMA has confirmed that its annual awards evening will be returning later this year, bringing with it a host of leading award categories, a celebrity host and a glittering night of networking.

Taking place on Thursday 20 October at the Celtic Manor Resort, the awards will celebrate the latest product innovations and marketing initiatives that have shaped the 2022 season and kept the tills ringing throughout the year.

The awards roster remains largely unchanged for the 2022 event; however, judges will now select an overall Sustainability Award winner based on sustainability champions selected from the 13 product and marketing categories.  As always, the Sword of Excellence, GCA Supplier of the Year and Gardenex Export Achievement Awards are all up for grabs.

GIMA director, Vicky Nuttall says: “It’s with great pleasure to confirm that the GIMA Awards will be back later this year, with entry to the awards now open to any supplier that thinks they have an offering that can impress our judging panel and can compete within the retail environment.

“Every year the quality of entries just gets better and better. I anticipate that this year will be no different, as the calibre of product and marketing development has increased exponentially in recent years in response to changing consumer demand. It’s an exciting time to be part of the garden retail sector and we can’t wait to celebrate this fact in October.”

This year’s GIMA Awards judging day will take place in July, with the deadline for entry confirmed as 1 June. Full details on how to enter can be found at www.gima.org.uk/gima-awards
