Fresh at Burcot garden centre, a family-run business in Bromsgrove, is making the final preparations for a display at the prestigious BBC Gardeners’ World Live.

Fresh at Burcot Garden Centre, on Alcester Road, is working with gardening writer and journalist Peter Seabrook to produce a display made up of Garvinea, ready for the event at the NEC in Birmingham across June 14 to 17.

Neil Gow, one of the directors, said: “It is really exciting to be working on this display where 100,000 visitors will see our feature. Every show is exciting and nerve wracking!

“It is a huge logistics operation that requires a lot of planning. But you are dealing with live plants that have their own minds about when or if they want to flower, and in a cold late spring like we have had it just adds to the challenge.”
