Garden Centre Fresh annual trade show
Garden Centre Fresh held their annual Trade show at Tradeparc Westland in Honselerdijk, Holland at the end of January. It was the third year the event had been hosted, and it attracted more than 150 visitors from all over the UK and Ireland.
Over 200 trolleys of continental stock were available for immediate delivery and to pre-book, having been sourced by MD Paul Moors from all over Europe. ?We had our exclusive 12cm herbs from Albenga on show? said Paul, ?which have been grown for us and come presented in our own green pots and trays. We have even had bespoke labels designed in English to aid sales into the UK market?.
Selected visitors, including buyers from Van Hage, Longacres, RHS, and Hillier Garden Centres were flown out by the company. Malcolm Berry, senior buyer for the RHS Plant Centres, said ?It was a very enjoyable show with good quality stock, some of it quite different to your normal Dutch lines. It was a very useful trip and we took advantage of some really good value deals.?
Garden Centre Fresh?s close grower partners were all exhibiting too at their show, including Fruithof, F.N Kempen bv, Amigra, Opti-flor, Floribras, Ripaplant, Meko Hulsebosch and TopBuxus.
