Garden centre restaurants and cafes open indoors

Eateries are able to welcome customers indoors from today. In the latest stop on the government’s roadmap out of lockdown, groups of six can sit indoors at cafes, bars and restaurants, though it will remain table service only and social distancing must be observed.

One store to welcome back customers into its café is Grimsby Garden Centre, owned by NHS mental health services provider NAViGO. The Lincolnshire-based garden centre has revamped its café, doubling its size and introducing Scandinavian style outdoor booths, garden and children’s play area. It has also been renamed The Potting Shed.

Jo Keen, head of commercial services at NAViGO said: “Not only do we serve great food and drink in lovely, relaxed surroundings; but when you buy from us, you are also helping to support people in your local community with mental health difficulties.

“The last year has been extremely difficult for everyone. Being Loyal to Local has never been more important.”
