Get ready to see a lot more of BeeMat this September

BeeMat confirms plans for Four Oaks (2nd-3rd Sept), Glee (14th-16th Sept) & The Landscape Show (23rd-24th Sept)

Just 12 month since launching to the market at Glee 2013, BeeMat has confirmed its presence at a host of exhibitions taking place this September, offering the market three exciting chances to see the latest introductions from the innovative company.?

Two new ranges join the BeeMat portfolio
Any garden retailer wanting to see what is new from BeeMat will need to ensure that they visit the company on-stand at both Four Oaks (stand E28) and Glee (Hall 19, stand H60), where two new product ranges will be launched.

The first new introduction ? EcoMat Companion Planting mats – fits perfect with BeeMat?s existing range of pre-seeded, biodegradeable growing mats, which currently includes BeeMat?, Butterfly Mat? and Bird Mat. Using the proven companion planting method, the EcoMat range feature two salad varieties ? Oriental and Mediterranean ? and a vegetable mat, which includes carrots, sage and spring onions.? Each mat in the range uses Marigold?s and other herbs as companion planting to prevent aphid and slug damage for a higher crop yield.

Like the rest of the existing ?mat? range, BeeMat has confirmed that the new EcoMat range will also be supported with its highly informative point of sale.? With a capacity of 108 mats, and featuring a video screen, the display stand has already proved extremely popular with retailers across the UK.? An additional counter display unit is set to be launched, and will be free with all order of 36 mats or more.

Joining the EcoMat range will be another exciting addition, the new Living Tiles range. Ready planted sedum trays, Living Tile?s can add instant colour to any garden, from lining paths to creating impactful flowerbeds.? A unique addition to a garden retailer?s plant area, the product is also sure to appeal to architects, contractors, developers and garden designers.

New larger mats for landscape customers
BeeMat has also confirmed that a new range of larger mats will be launched at the Landscape Show (stand D65), marking an exciting development for landscapers. The new mats will be available in 20m x 0.75m and 100m x 0.75m sizes, and will be available in the company?s popular bee, butterfly and meadow flower seed varieties.

BeeMat?s Nigel Clarke said: ?September is set to be an incredibly busy month for us as we attend three exhibitions back to back, but we?ve no doubt that attendance at all three events will pay dividends for us. Since our initial launch at Glee 2013 our customer database has increase significantly, including over 150 new independent garden centre customers, as well as increased coverage within mail order, supermarket and multiple retailers. We are looking to build on this, and develop even more retailer relationships for 2015 and beyond via our presence at these exhibitions.? Additionally, we are hoping to further develop BeeMat?s presence with the landscape market, as we believe our products offer landscapers a quick and easy solution to volume planting as well as addressing key environmental issues.

About the products ? BeeMat?, Butterfly Mat? and BugControl Mat?
BeeMat?s namesake product is a unique and simple solution to the dramatic decline in the UK bee population. A pre-seeded, biodegradable growing mat that also controls weeds, BeeMat? is the best way to bring a whole host of bee favourite wild flowers to pots, beds, troughs or allotments across the UK. Perfectly packaged to offer a one-stop-shop solution for consumers, BeeMat? offers retailers a great profit boosting line, thanks to the product?s gift and impulse buy potential.

As the names suggest, the ButterflyMat and Bird Mat are designed to either attract or control insects and pests during the growing process.

Developed by the experts at TerraSeed, all products under the BeeMat brand have been scientifically proven to improve both plant establishment and the number of visits by bees.? For instance, during trials the BeeMat? has been shown to increase the number of flowers that establish by 90%, compared to direct seeded plots, plus it has been shown to increase the number of flowers per plant by 40%.

All BeeMat products come packaged in an eye-catching informative retail box and are offered with a free standing merchandiser complete with informative product video which will boost sales in store. BeeMat is also available in 20m rolls, allowing commercial growers and landscapers to apply to larger areas.
