Green Digit expands SeedCell range to three different products

by | Mar 6, 2018 | News, Product News, Products | 0 comments

Newcastle based startup Green Digit?s SeedCell range – biodegradable, plantable, seed pods are now available in three different ranges – all made entirely of 100% natural, recycled materials. ?

Made exclusively in the UK from recycled cardboard pulp and natural glue, SeedCell?, SeedCell Singles? and Garden in a Box? all use the same patented technology and allow gardeners of any skill level to grow vegetables, herbs ? even trees – completely from scratch.

How to use and how it works

Soaking a pot of compost or patch of soil in water, the individual cells – once snapped free – can be pushed down into the earth. The curved topside of the seed pod remains above ground allowing rainwater to run off, preventing the seed from getting soggy and also providing a more visible marker for the location of emerging seedlings.? Once planted, the seed pod absorbs and retains the moisture it needs, feeding the water directly to the seeds inside using patented water absorbing technology. The pod protects the seeds as they begin to germinate in a safe microclimate, before breaking down naturally and leaving zero waste.

SeedCell ? RRP ?3.49

A snap-to-separate disc of eight individual fully biodegradable pods, each filled with seeds.? Available in a variety of retail outlets from museum gift shops to garden centres – as well as from Green Digit?s website https://seedcell.co.uk/our-products/ or Amazon shop.
