Hillier Nurseries and Garden Centres are delighted to announce a number of new senior appointments to its Garden Centre Head Office team.

Rob Grayson is promoted as the new head of purchasing. Rob brings with him significant horticultural and buying expertise, having previously been plant category manager at Hillier and, prior to that, having worked in various roles on Hillier?s Nurseries.

George Hillier takes up a new position as head of property. ?He will have responsibility for all Hillier property across the entire estate, including maintenance and developments in Garden Centres, Nurseries and domestic property, as well as the management of all concession partnerships. ?One example of the company?s ongoing investment in the future of the business nearing completion is a 20,000 sqft extension at the popular Eastbourne Garden Centre. Due to open by the end of May, it will allow room for five additional concessions on the site.

Mark Bosworth replaces George as area manager, having previously been centre manager at Horsham. He will now oversee half the Hillier portfolio of Garden Centres.

Completing the new senior line-up is Richard Egerton, who will join Hillier as the new group horticultural buyer. Renowned for being one of the most knowledgeable buyers in the industry, Richard will be responsible for purchasing all horticultural products for the Garden Centres and Wholesale Nursery divisions.

Of the new appointments, Chris Francis, director, commented: ?We are really pleased with the new appointments to our senior team. There are a number of internal promotions, a great proof of our success at developing people within the company, as well as the addition of one of the top people in the industry. We are confident the new senior team members will continue what has already been a strong start to the year and are very excited for the future.?
