Brooklands garden centre
30 homes planned on the grounds of Brooklands garden centre have been recommended for approval.
?
The properties, earmarked on undeveloped land at Brookfields Garden Centre, would not affect the running of the centre.
?
Gedling Borough Council planners recommend the plans for outline permission should be approved.
?
This is so a more detailed application can later go forward for consideration.
Residents said they would welcome people moving in from other parts of the country. They added it was important to provide affordable homes for local people.
?
Emlyn Mousley, 42, of Hallam’s Lane, Arnold, said: “It has got to be for residents of Arnold. We are attracting people to the area which is great for diversity and talent.
?
“But what about people that currently live in Arnold? They are short on homes.”
