Manufacturer and distributor of hydroponic equipment, HydroGarden exhibited at the recent Spoga Gafa exhibition held in Cologne, Germany. Visited by approximately 36,800 traders from over 100 countries HydroGarden found a lot of interest from retailers in Russia and is now looking likely to break into this country for the first time.
?We were quite surprised at the level of interest from Russia,? comments Stephen Fry, commercial hydroponics specialist of HydroGarden. ?We?re excited to follow these leads up and break into this market for the first time. We recently produced our European catalogue and it included Russian translations in anticipation of introducing our products to the country and it?s great that Spoga Gafa has given us the leads to develop this export opportunity further.?
Main features of HydroGarden?s exhibition stand included its popular ROOT!T range which is a modern and complete solution to propagation including products such as; ROOT!T sponge plugs, lighting, rooting gel and first feed. Additionally, the HydroGarden?s PLANT!T range included the new water timer, growing media and Gemini growing system.
?The biggest attention grabber for our stand was our FishPlant system,? explains Fry. ?A combination of aquaculture and hydroponics it keeps fish and plants in an enclosed eco-system with the plants feeding the fish and fish waste feeding the plants.
?We believe this system was so successful because there was nothing else like it at the exhibition, it?s quite a new concept and was part of the 2013 Chelsea Flower Show gold award winning project. We had a lot of visitors stopping at our stand just to look at the system and ask us questions about how it works which then turned into enquiries, not only about this system, but also about the other ranges we had on the stand.?
HydroGarden currently exports hydroponic equipment to 34 countries, the Coventry-based company manufactures and delivers its own range of products in-house as well as distributing world-leading brands.
