Ice rink and Christmas grotto draw crowds to Webbs

A record-breaking number of people are planning to head to Webbs at Wychbold to enjoy the ice rink this festive season. More than 8,500 people have already booked to skate, over double than this time last year.

The garden centre near Droitwich opened the outdoor rink in early November and is welcoming visitors into next year. The firm experts to see over 25,000 skaters on the ice before the rink closes on 3 January. Visitors also enjoyed a free firework display on launch night.

This is the fourth year the ice rink has been open, with a clear roof so that visitors can skate in any weather.

The Webbs Christmas Grotto has already seen thousands of bookings with Christmas elves due to welcome children up until 24 December.

Webbs chairman Ed Webb commented: ?We love Christmas here at Webbs and go all out to make it extra special for our visitors. To enjoy a warming hot chocolate and skate outside with the lights twinkling is a really memorable experience. The grotto is also incredibly popular and we love seeing the joy it brings to the children.?
