Information trade fair GrootGroenPlus 2017 – it’s all in the app

by | Sep 13, 2017 | Community, News | 0 comments

The program of trade fair GrootGroenPlus, the trade fair for the green industry that will take place in Zundert (NL) from 4 – 6 October, is starting to come together. The participants receive their construction information, the central square is being set up, and of course, there is a lot of room for (large) green decorations. There is also more information available about speakers and visitors.

?App is active

This year, it is once again possible to use the GrootGroenPlus app. This is available for free through the App Stores and offers information about your stay, the program, speakers, and other important parts, such as the information on and favourites of all participants, and novelties. The app also includes an interactive floor plan. This shows which participant can be found where. More information will be entered into the app as the date of the trade fair approaches. If you downloaded the app earlier, all updates will be performed automatically.

Novelties and Road Show

Of course, in October will be paid attention to the novelties. This time, 16 plants have been registered, and we also present a long-term novelty. With the Road Show, which has been introduced in 2016, 25 more returning novelties will be added to this. All descriptions can be found in the app and on the website.

The presentation of the novelties and of the favourite plants of the participants contribute to the distribution and enlargement of professional knowledge. Another element of the trade fair that contributes to this, is the library. Here, you can find professional literature for and by tree growers. Multiple writers will visit the library, in order to meet their readers.

International group visit

A delegation from the APPM, the Russian Nursery Stock Association, will bring 33 members to visit our trade fair and region. They will visit GGP, join us on the internal and external press tours, and they will give a presentation about their organisation on Wednesday night.

In cooperation with GGP, they also scheduled company visits on four days.

Up until now, 33 journalists have registered for the press program of GrootGroenPlus 2017. This includes a new registration from Japan. The press group is once again bigger than it was in previous years.

Favourites

This year’s theme is ‘My Favourite Plant!’, which also was the case last year. This theme was extended, since it offers so many opportunities for a more in-depth approach. In 2017, there are multiple parts of the program that get into this. On Thursday and Friday, there are a number of speakers at the central square who will give short and powerful presentations about favourite plants and books. On top of that, every speaker has their own subjects, such as Floriade, export, and Poplars. Confirmed speakers are Hein van Iersel, Jaap Smit, Wim Huijser, Ron Bleijswijk, and Marco Hoffman.

Access trade visitors

Visitors can pre-register for free access via the website www.grootgroenplus.nl. As of August, a live chat has been added to the website, so if you have any questions, feel free to ask them in real-time. If you want to offer the trade fair, you can check out the 300+ participant profiles to prepare you for your visit. For the first time, a connection is made with a stock system. Not just the plant groups, but also the current stock is visible with this.
