More than 20 suppliers exhibited at the Klondyke Group’s annual Plant Show this month. Held on 2 March at the Inchyra Grange Hotel close to the group’s head office and new Klondyke Garden Centre at Polmont, the show was attended by the group’s 22 plant managers and horticultural buying team.

As well as providing an opportunity to plan and select stock for the 2022 season, the show also saw the launch of Klondyke’s new Grow Your Own branding and showcased its Hello Spring campaign, again new for 2022.

Klondyke’s head of buying Andy Smith organised the show and comments: “We really appreciate the support of our suppliers; we will continue to work closely with our supply base to introduce new and interesting lines to our ranges. Without the support of our suppliers, we have no business, so it is very important for us to work with them for the continued success of our business.

“I would like to thank all our suppliers for the support they have given our business over the last few years. I hope 2022 is a success for everyone”.

During the show, Allensmore Nurseries was presented with the Klondyke Group’s award for Supplier of the Year 2021.

Will Thomas, account manager at Allensmore Nurseries received the award. He says: “We were absolutely delighted to be awarded ‘Supplier of the Year’ at the recent Klondyke Spring Show. We have a superb relationship with the team at Klondyke and over the last few years have worked closely with them to develop the range that we supply. Like Klondyke, we are a family run business who really pride ourself on quality and service, so to win this really means a lot to Allensmore. Thanks very much to Klondyke for this award, it’s a pleasure working with you.”

Mortonhall Garden Centre was awarded the Groups Plant Team of the Year, with Byrkley Park garden centre receiving Destination Plant Area of the Year award for 2021 and Wilmslow Garden Centre winning the Plant Area of the Year category.
