A Lelant garden centre is holding a tea party to raise funds?for a national cancer charity.
Wyevale Lelant Garden Centre is supporting Marie Curie Cancer Care’s Blooming Great Tea Party campaign which encourages people to pop the kettle on for a brew in exchange for donations. The Garden Centre Group, whose official charity partner is Marie Curie Cancer Care, is helping to deliver more high-quality care at home to terminally ill people by raising funds and awareness through gardening-inspired activities.
Karen Roebuck, the garden centre’s charity champion, said: ”The centre is proud to be holding a tea party to raise money?for the local Marie Curie nursing service in Cornwall.
“Holding a tea party should be great fun and another way to enjoy your garden with friends?and family.”
Visitors are being encouraged to support?the cause by attending the tea party on the afternoon of Tuesday, June 24.
