Marshalls launch white pumpkin in time for Halloween

With its ghost-white skin and excellent size, these pumpkins are just the thing for creating a Jack-O-Lantern with a difference!

White pumpkins have been all the rage in America for a while now, but thanks to social media boards, such as Pinterest, they?re now a must-have decoration for UK Halloween celebrations too!

New for 2016, Marshalls Seeds have launched the Pumpkin ?Polar Bear? and is selling both seeds and plants, ready for next year?s harvest. This albino pumpkin that produces large white pumpkins that remain white with age and have excellent size, weighing up to 20-25kg (44-55lb) with yellow orange flesh. Best grown in raised beds or large containers with plenty of rich, loamy soil.

Anna Betts, brand manager for Marshalls Seeds said: ?This is an excellent variety to raise from seed or young plants, especially with all the family. Children love to watch the fruits develop, ready for carving at Halloween. The white skin and orange flesh means they give a really good glow with a candle inside!?The flesh is also perfect in the kitchen for pulping for soups and smoothies and cutting into chunks for roasting.?
