Mr Fothergill’s trade show attendance reflects export and range development

The Mr Fothergill’s Group will be attending two trade shows early in 2015, both for the first time. While the company has attended many such events from Europe to China, and has its products on sales in many countries round the world, this is the first time it will have exhibited at IPM Essen in Germany. Often regarded as the world’s premier horticultural trade show, IPM Essen runs from 27 to 30 January. The stand will be staffed by members of its export and UK retail sales teams, reflecting the show’s importance to buyers both from abroad and the UK.

From 1 to 5 February Mr Fothergill’s will be making its d?but at the National Exhibition Centre’s Spring Fair, where it will showcase its recently launched gift and impulse lines, which are already proving popular with retailers. The selection includes attractively presented GroBox and GroMats, plus other kits under the Garden Time sub-brand, and a partnership range with the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB). Also on display will be the Sarah Raven, Microgreens and Little Gardeners products from sister-brand Johnsons.

The company’s commercial director Tim Jeffries commented “The Spring Fair is an ideal platform to speak not only to garden centres and our other traditional stockists, but also to a wider audience which does not list mainstream seed ranges. We are looking forward to a busy and exciting 2015, when we shall continue to develop new sales opportunities for all our retailers”.
