After being shortlisted earlier in the year, natural gardening brand, Neudorff, has won the prestigious National German Sustainability Award.
The company was honoured for its ongoing efforts in using active ingredients, which can be found in nature, plus renewable raw materials where possible throughout its extensive range of weed, feed and control products. Sustainability is a major aspect of Neudorff?s company philosophy influencing every single business unit. This is promoted by their certified management system for quality, environment and energy.
With headquarters based in Germany, Neudorff products are widely available across Europe including the UK and the company has recently opened a UK office.
The award was presented to the company?s owner and Managing Director, Hans-Martin Lohmann by Professor Dr. Johanna Wanka, Germany?s Federal Minister of Education and Research.
Jude Beharall, Sales Director for Neudorff UK said; ?This is fantastic news, the brand?s natural and sustainable credentials are highlighted in everything we do and this award is testament to that. Neudorff was one of only three companies in its category (up to 499 employees) to have been shortlisted from 550 initial entries and to win is a great achievement,? he added.
The award, dubbed as ?one of the most prestigious prizes of its kind in Europe?, is given to businesses that prove that success is compatible with social responsibility and environmental stewardship, it is endorsed by the German Federal Government.
