Council Planners have approved plans to create a café and restaurant at Norton Garden Centre.
Work is now set to start on the 270 square metre building on the A38 between Gloucester and Tewkesbury.
A new open canopy building for the storage and protection of plants from the weather is also going up.
The restaurant will be 27 by 10 metres and provide seating for 68 people. The new buildings will form an L shape and sit behind the existing garden centre buildings.
The restaurant and café at Norton Garden Centre will lead to three new full-time and eight part-time jobs, taking the number of staff to 25.
