However, the skills, required to create successful category plans often aren’t accessible to everyone in the floricultural sector. Developing profitable sales concepts demands not just careful assortment planning, but also graphic skills which can often be costly or unavailable.
Efficient communication tool for marketing and sales
“We saw our clients spending months on the manual preparation of sales concepts. That’s why we thought of a program, which generates garden center tables based on simple plant images”, explains Michiel Kuipers, Chief Executive of Floraconcepts.
Today, the application serves as base for Category Management and Sales. Software users can save their store concepts and adjust them per season with new assortment.
Tool applicable for B2B and B2C communication
Next to the standard garden centre tables and trolleys, the application enables the integration of individual garden centre shelves, POS-material and table banners. Not only table concepts can be visualized in Floraconcepts, but also product combinations can be configurated within no time. “Consumers are often not aware about how to use plants in their garden and need a helping hand in the choice of assortment, and how to combine several plants in a garden bed or planter” explains Managing Director Bob Hogerdijk of Hoogeveen Plants. “Arranging an own garden border is not only fun, but also ensures that consumers are optimally informed and advised in plant selection,” continues Hoogerdijk.
