Notcutts garden centres wins UK search award

Notcutts garden centre retailer and their digital agency, Crafted, have won the Best Use of Search at the Retail at the 2014 ? UK Search Awards.

The award recognised their work to enhance the visibility of the garden centre retailer?s website over the 2013 Christmas period. The creative search marketing campaign created the UK?s first Santa?s Grotto Street View.

Crafted used the Christmas display at the Norwich Notcutts store to help create the virtual tour. This enabled shoppers and families to explore the grotto on Google Maps. Google?s own social network shared the street view to its 4,454,282 followers. Momentum continued with technology websites and blogs featuring the story. The overall campaign lead to a 30% organic revenue boost for the Christmas period.
