Plant expert to visit Perrywood Garden Centre for talks and orchid clinics

A plant expert is due to visit a garden centre in Tiptree this week. On Friday and Saturday, orchid expert Dr Manos Kanellos will be visiting Perrywood Garden Centre in Tiptree to give customers the opportunity to learn more about orchids.

Dr Kanellos will be sharing his expertise during two talks on both days at 11am and 2pm, providing advice to everyone from houseplant novices to Phalaenopsis connoisseurs.

The talks will aim to answer customers? questions about these plants, including how to repot your orchids, how to trigger your plant to re-bloom and general tips about caring for them.

he talks cost ?5 per person which is redeemable against any purchase in store on the day.

Additionally, Dr Kanellos will be running an Orchid Clinic from 11am-1pm and 1.30pm-3.30pm.

Plant enthusiasts are encouraged to bring their orchids to the centre to have a MOT the doctor, helping to ensure they flourish at home.

Zoe Willis, Houseplants Team Leader at Perrywood, said: ?Orchids are such beautiful plants and make great additions to any interior. However, we know that many of our customers struggle to get their orchids to re-flower, so we hope that Dr Manos Kanellos? visit to the centre will answer lots of their questions.?
