Prosper Buying Group adds three new members

by | Jun 19, 2023 | News | 2 comments

Barton Grange, Cowells and Tong Garden Centres have signed up to the Prosper Buying Group today. They join existing members Aylett Nurseries, Chessington Garden Centre, Knights Garden Centres, Langlands, Perrywood and Stewarts.

The aim is to grow the group nationally by bringing like-minded companies together. As has always been the case, they will support each other by pooling buying decisions and sharing learnings.

Chair of Prosper and Retail & Marketing Director of Stewarts Garden Centres, Terry Head, says: “I am very pleased to announce the addition of new members, Barton Grange, Cowells and Tong Garden Centres.

“Today’s announcement demonstrates our group strategy to attract highly regarded, award-winning, like-minded independent garden centres.”

“We are excited about these developments; it will help us move forward successfully in these uncertain times. The opportunities are huge, and the thought of sharing the journey with these businesses is really exciting.”

Roger Head of Forest Lodge founded the Prosper Buying Group more than 15 years ago alongside Martin Stewart and Richard Knight.

It has continued to grow with the ethos that Roger initiated with some of the industry’s most respected independent garden centres.

There is a strong emphasis on making decisions with close friendships and respect.

The atmosphere within the group is warm and professional, and the group has been very successful.
