Reopening of Belper’s B&M store includes new garden centre

The date has finally been revealed for the reopening of Belper?s refurbished B&M store.

The Chapel Street discount store has undergone a comprehensive internal and external refurbishment programme to create a new look for customers while they bargain hunt. Fifteen new jobs are also being created at the store, which will reopen its doors on Friday September 16, at 9am.

Craig Johnstone, store manager at B&M Belper, said he hoped the reopening would provide a welcome boost to the local economy: ?We?re feeling really positive about the creation of new jobs for local people and we hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store.?

?We are all really excited to get the doors open and welcome our new customers through the door in a few weeks.?

All staff who were employed before the redevelopment were able to keep their jobs, and with the store improving a total of 15 jobs were also created for local people. B&M is one of the UK?s fastest growing retailers and customers can expect to find a wide variety of branded and own label products including toys, food and drink, pet products and health and beauty.

Formed in 1978, B&M opened its first store in Blackpool. They now have over 500 stores throughout England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, employing over 22,500 staff.

The newly-developed Belper store will also boast an extensive DIY, decorating and furniture range, homeware collections, electricals and its very own garden centre.
