RHS to open houseplant shop in Bluewater shopping centre

The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) is delighted to announce that it will open its first ever standalone shop at Bluewater Shopping Centre, Kent, in October this year.

The first of its kind for the UK’s leading gardening charity, RHS The Plant Space will be a haven for all things houseplant. Building on the continuing trend of indoor plants – particularly popular among younger audiences who lack outdoor space – the shop will aim to make gardening more accessible to a bigger audience.

There will be something for everyone, whether a complete novice or a green-fingered pro. Alongside houseplants, customers will be able to purchase everything needed to display and care for their plants, as well as a carefully curated selection of RHS lifestyle and homeware products. Additionally the space will hold fortnightly events such as terrarium workshops and kokedama tutorials.

Helena Pettit, Director of Shows and Gardens, says: “We’re very excited about the prospect of opening our RHS Plant Space at Bluewater and being able to bring plants and gardening to the millions of people who shop in this space, and to hopefully inspire in many of them a lasting passion and interest in gardening.”

Further information will be announced in the coming months.
