Safe holding a ‘substantial amount of money’ stolen from a garden centre in Woolsery
A ?Substantial? amount of money has been stolen from a garden centre in?Woolsery.
The theft is believed to have taken place between 5pm on Sunday, August 3 and 1am on Monday, August 4, at Merry Harriers Garden Centre.
A cream coloured, heavy steel safe, described as 4ft in height and 2.5ft width, was stolen and police have confirmed it held ?a substantial amount of money?.
A Barclay debit card, Barclay business cheque book and ?300 gift vouchers were also taken.
The door of the front entrance was forced open by smashing a lower pane of glass and entry was also forced out of the building.
Police are now appealing for witnesses. Contact 101 with the crime reference number CR/095420/14.
