Nothing can encapsulate the artistry of Mother Nature; the care of the grower; and the magic of colour as much as that most iconic flower, the rose. In honour of one of nature?s most magnificent perennials, Squire’s Garden Centres is hosting the annual Royal National Rose Society Southern Show and a spectacular floral art display, on June 28 and 29th at Squire?s Shepperton.
Top rose growers from all over the country will be displaying their blooms ? hoping to win points which will contribute to the annual championships. Imagine: the scent of the roses filling the air along with a stunning art displays of England?s national flower. It?s a not-to-miss free event, open to everyone, just come along between 12.30 ? 5pm on Saturday June 28 and 10.30am to 4.30pm, Sunday June 29.
And not only that, it?s also a chance to ask any rose-growing questions you have ? you?ll be able to meet the growers and chat to them about any pesky problems with your own roses and find out more about the latest trends and rare varieties. At Squire?s, as an ongoing commitment to customer service, there is always expert advice on hand from the plant team for roses or any other planting queries.
Whilst you?re there, why not have a coffee or lunch in the beautifully airy Caf? Bar overlooking the plant area ? there?s also plenty of fun for children in the play areas including Buzzy Bumbles, the popular soft play section.
This is one of Squire?s most popular events ? in fact the family run business has hosted it for over 30 years, and there?s no question it is one of the best horticultural shows of the year.
