State of the art play area created in Dobbies by SLKids

Leading children?s play supplier, SLKids, has teamed up with design, fit out and refurbishment specialists Pride Shopfitting, to provide equipment for a state-of-the-art play area within the King?s Lynn branch of Dobbies, one of the UK?s best known garden centre chains, with a network of 34 stores.

The project features a variety of play elements, including the latest version of the ever-popular PlayTouch? interactive touchscreen system, loaded on to SLKids? hugely popular Wall Bubble. This sits alongside a couple of multi-faceted, free-standing ?Play Systems? and some modular Play Panels models and the fascinating Play Wheels, giving kids the chance to have loads of fun, while further developing their gross and fine motor controls.

Pride Shopfitting were keen to bring a new, fresh look to this much loved section of the store. All of the products provided by SLKids have enough educational value to keep children from 18 months to 8 years happily distracted, while the adults can enjoy a drink in the caf?, or perhaps indulge themselves with one of Dobbies? famous cakes.

?This has to be one of the best small, purpose designed play areas in the whole of the garden centre sector. Well done to our clients, Pride, and of course their own customer, Dobbies,? saidNick Chandler, sales manager, SLKids: ?The layout of the play area is unique and it is this that really sets this installation apart. Each play product is set with a background that directly relates to a garden ? or garden centre. It is evident that Pride Shopfitting & Dobbies choose their suppliers carefully, with the quality of every element standing out.?

SLKids was chosen as the play product supplier since not only are the products compact and adaptable, they are also robust and easy to maintain. Uniquely within the UK play products market they also consider every aspect of health and safety, making them a strong option wherever a venue wants to introduce some kind of play facility. Not least of those aspects is the fact that all SLKids products continue to work with NHS hygiene specialists to ensure every element far exceeds the requirements of both UK & EU regulations for this kind of play product.
