The sweet smell of success at Squire?s Rose Show

Squire?s Garden Centre in Shepperton hosted the Rose Society UK?s southern show on 24?and 25?June. This is forty years after the first rose show was held at Squire?s. The company has hosted the show every year since then.

Rose growers from around the country came to compete in the show, with the some travelling all the way from Teesside and Wales to take part.

Colin Squire, chairman of Squire?s Garden Centres presented the prizes, accompanied by the Deputy Mayor of Spelthorne. Neil Duncan was awarded best exhibit in the show.

Colin Squire commented: ?Roses have such a special place in the British psyche and are an essential constituent of the quintessentially English garden. It was a real treat to see such beautiful displays from enthusiasts around the country.?
