Tetra leads innovation in aquatics for over 65 years

by | Aug 7, 2016 | News | 0 comments

For over 65 years, Tetra has led innovation in the aquatics industry having created the first ever fish food, BioMin, and fish food flake, TetraMin, which has opened up the world of fishkeeping to consumers, allowing them to keep and feed fish more easily.

As the global leader in aquatics, Tetra has the largest, independently accredited R&D department in the industry allowing it to support retailers by continuously creating appealing food ranges which encourage healthy growth, raise resistance to disease, and improves vitality and colouration in fish.

With the increase in fish species now available to buy, the industry has a large and very unique opportunity to ensure fish welfare by educating consumers on product ranges, while boosting incremental sales and profit.

Giuliano Buccino, Head of Marketing at Tetra comments; ?We?re proud to offer a heritage of 65 years knowledge and continued innovation to the fishkeeping market. Over the years, it?s clear to see our R&D department has helped us to break down barriers surrounding fishkeeping such as lowering maintenance time and developing feeding innovations to make fishkeeping more enjoyable to different age brackets.

?We will continue to adapt and expand our product ranges to sustain our current customer base and also gain new ones, such as families who want a no-fuss option for their homes. As a brand we work to make fishkeeping easy, safe and more enjoyable than ever, with a huge part of this around equipping consumers with the knowledge needed to make the most out of their fishkeeping experience.

?Tetra will also continue to support and educate retailers, providing them with the correct knowledge in order to upsell products, along with point of sale marketing materials.?

Tetra will also be running a special price promotion on TetraMin, AquaSafe and EasyBalance with up to 25% off to celebrate its 65th birthday which will be available from 4th July until 30th September 2016. To help retailers communicate the limited edition promotions Tetra has designed double sided posters, shelf edgers, and balloons for instore.
