The Gardeners Guild exceeds charity target of 2015

Every year, The Gardeners Guild chooses a charity as its Charity of the Year. During 2015, members chose to support Thrive, the leading UK charity that uses gardening to bring about positive change in the lives of people living with disability and poor health, or are isolated or disadvantaged. This is known as social and therapeutic horticulture (STH).

All advertising revenue from Google adverts on the advice pages of The Gardeners Guild?s website were donated to Thrive via a JustGiving webpage ( Generous donations were also received from members of The Gardeners Guild and their customers.

A total of ?798.21 was raised ? 159% of the original target.

Gary Edwards, founder of The Gardeners Guild, to announce that membership of the guild now exceeds 400 active paid memberships (excluding forum guests and student members).

125 new applications have been received during 2015 so far, representing a minimum of 25% increase in applications over 2014.
