During the Seed Meets Technology event this September, three symposia will take place on topics in the seed industry and horticulture.
September 22: ?Green chemistry to enhance seeds?
Organised by INCOTEC, a leading seed enhancement company offering numerous priming, disinfecting, coating and upgrading products. Rob Baas, senior researcher at INCOTEC, will be presenting their sustainable ?work in progress? and focusing on sustainability in the agricultural sector. Programme starts at 13:00 on the grounds of Proeftuin Zwaagdijk with all presentations in English.
September 23: ?Hydroponic cultivation?
In four lectures visitors will be updated on the latest international developments in hydroponics: International situation of hydroponics, Fully automatic systems for growers, Practical developments in the Netherlands and Mobile gutter systems in place. Programme starts at 13:00 and can be followed in both Dutch and English.
September 24: ?Next generation phenotyping in practice?
An insight into the perspectives of automated phenotyping. Organised by Proeftuin Zwaagdijk, Gitzels Breeding Services, Aris BV, Flier Systems and SeedTuning. Programme starts at 13:30 and is particularly interesting for breeders, researchers, trial field managers and managers of the germination lab. Lectures and presentations in English.
