Tong Garden Centre celebrates Elite Business win

Tong Garden Centre is celebrating after adding another award to its collection.
Tong became the Elite Business of the Year at the recent Aagrah Restaurant Group’s 36th Annual Dinner.
This was part of the Elite Yorkshire Business Awards that raised ?125,000 for charity.
MD Mark Farnsworth and commercial director, Sharon McNair were among the guests attending the event. The Centenary Pavilion, Leeds United played host.
Mr Farnsworth said: “Yorkshire boasts some of the largest and most successful companies in the UK. I’m proud to accept this award on behalf of the team at Tong. They’ve worked tirelessly to restore the centre to its former glory.”
In the last 12 months, the Garden Centre, which was taken over almost 3 years ago, has won five awards at the North East and North West regional GCA awards.
They’ve bagged two awards at the Garden Retail awards. These include Destination Garden Centre Outlet of the Year and Customer Service Excellence.
The team has also won Job Creator of the Year in the Bradford means Business Awards.
