Trees Donated For Happy Huskies

A group of dog lovers from Worthing who have offered homes to 6 rescued Huskies and have leased a field near the Haskins Roundstone Garden Centre to create an exercise pound, have now 100 trees planted around the fencing to screen the area from the traffic on the? A259 thanks to a donation arranged by the centre.

Tony and Jackie Fallon from the group invited Mel Howick, Team Leader at Haskins, to meet the Huskies and their owners, and see how the trees have enhanced the pound.? Having been approached to see if any trees could be donated, Mel was able to arrange a donation by one of their local major suppliers of container grown ornamental and fruit trees, Pulborough based New Place Nurseries.

?We are grateful to Haskins and New Place Nurseries for their great donation and we are delighted to have been able to show Mel how the trees have made a difference to the exercise area,? said Tony Fallon.? ?The local support has been tremendous since we homed the Huskies and we also appreciate the understanding offered by the landlord Hargreaves Lettings.?
